Hi! I’m Giuliana and I’m thrilled you’ve stopped by my About Me page! Scroll down to find out more!
HI! My name is Giuliana Bevilacqua (but many people call me G. Bevs!). This is my site, featuring content about all things fitness, health & wellness!
I think it’s important for people to know a little bit about the person behind the posts, so here’s a little bit about me!
I was born on August 1
On the outskirts of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I was the first born to my parents and the first grandchild to my Italian grandparents.
From a young age, my strong character shined through. At the age of two, my favorite words were ‘no” ‘don’t touch’ and ‘it’s mine’, just to give you an idea.
At that same age, my sister, Gabriella was born. I loved being the center of attention and I was recently informed I told my parents to ‘send her back’ …lol! Sounds like something I would have said back then. Thankfully, she turned out to be a great little sister to have!
As I started going to daycare, my ‘leader’ side started showing. Being born on August 1st, that is no surprise as my astrological sign is that of a Leo.
As I moved up to elementary & high school, I found a love for TEACHING and math (yes, I love math!!) I would play ‘teacher’ in my basement, teaching invisible students, giving homework, and conducting make-believe ‘parent-teacher interviews’. I became a math tutor and loved every second of it.
Starting in high school
I also met an amazing entertainer, Frankie Zulferino and due to a school project, became a part of his marketing team. From ‘fan’ to ‘fam’ as they say, and that really is the truth, as he became a brother to me over the years.
Working with Frankie & helping him with his music career allowed me to constantly travel back & forth to The Big Apple! It was such a thrill, and will forever be one of the most memorable times of my life.
From red carpet events, photo & video shoots, recording sessions, meet & greets and everything in between, I was passionate to the core. I believed in Frankie with my whole heart (still do!) and genuinely did everything I could at 16 years old to help him ‘make it’.
Over the years, I managed to book him news & radio interviews and get him noticed & in touch with highly respected & reputable folks in music. I am forever grateful for this opportunity as it helped me find a new passion: the music industry.
With my passion for said industry, I decided to learn more about it. This led me to internships in Los Angeles (Black Box, a music marketing agency) & Toronto (Universal Music Canada, a major record label). I also completed an internship in my hometown of Montreal, at evenko, the province’s largest concert promoter.
At that same time, I was working towards completing a double major in Marketing & Management at Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business (AACSB accredited). I graduated from the institution, in the Top 10% of my class, in December 2019.
Three week trip to Asia
After graduation, I took a three-week trip to Asia, where I discovered an INCREDIBLE continent. From Japan to Hong Kong, Thailand, to Singapore, it was the trip of a lifetime & I can’t wait to go back.
The trip opened my eyes and reminded me that it’s important to try new things. After all, you don’t know how much you like something until you try it 🙂
Upon my return, I got a job working for a marketing agency. I worked there for 2.5 years & found a passion for my client, a giant in the beverage industry (CPG).
Ultimately, I left the agency to pursue my career at that said company and have been there ever since. I work in the Omni Marketing department on some really cool brands and initiatives.
The pandemic changed my life in the best way possible.
I found an IMMENSE passion for fitness & training. I can’t go a day without a workout or an outdoor walk. The pandemic forced me to slow down and turn inwards – and I’m so glad it did.
I’ve lost 50+ pounds over the last two years.
However, I’ve gained strength, confidence, health & so much more.
My journey to health & wellness changed my life drastically, and I hope to be able to spark a positive change in you too, hence why I pivoted my website to focus on all things training, motivation, nutrition & general health & wellness!
If you’ve made it this far!
THANK YOU for taking the time to get to know a little more about me. The most precious element in life is time, and I’m deeply appreciative that you dedicated some of yours to me & my blog!
I hope you enjoyed my story and that the contents of my website enlighten you!
